Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By using the International Ally Federation website or completing the Health Compass assessment, you agree to these terms.

1

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the International Ally Federation ("IAF") website, including the Health Compass assessment tool, contact and service request forms, and all related online content and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

These Terms are in addition to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review both documents carefully.

Health Compass Assessment

Health Compass is an online assessment that helps you reflect on your wellbeing across multiple Health Dimensions and Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). The assessment is designed to support self-awareness and to inform our Community Health Worker (CHW) services.

When you complete Health Compass, you may choose to:

  • View your results on-screen, including visual summaries and category statuses.
  • Download a PDF copy of your results.
  • Share your results with IAF by email and/or request additional support from our team.

Your assessment responses may include information about your health, living situation, and social needs. We handle this information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Important: Health Compass is a wellness and educational tool. It does not provide a medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency response, and it does not replace care from a licensed healthcare professional.

3

No Medical or Emergency Advice

The information provided through Health Compass, our website, or communications from IAF is for general information, education, and wellness support only. It is not medical, mental health, or legal advice and should not be used to diagnose or treat any condition.

  • You should always consult a physician, licensed mental health professional, or other qualified provider with any questions about your health.
  • You should not ignore or delay seeking professional care because of something you read on this website or see in your Health Compass results.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or believe you may harm yourself or others:

  • Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
  • Contact the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 (in the U.S.).
  • Do not rely on this website, Health Compass, or email to obtain emergency help.
4

Eligibility & Appropriate Use

Our programs primarily serve adults and older youth. By using the Services, you represent that you are:

  • At least 18 years old, or
  • Using the Services with the knowledge and involvement of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult if you are under 18.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not interfere with or damage our systems, programs, or other users.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Services if we reasonably believe there has been misuse, violation of these Terms, or activity that may harm IAF, our participants, or partners.

5

Privacy & Data Practices

Our handling of your personal information, including Health Compass responses, is described in our Privacy Policy.

  • We may collect health and wellness information you voluntarily provide, including assessment responses, goals, and service requests.
  • We use this information to deliver services, coordinate referrals, improve programs, and maintain required records, as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Using the Services does not guarantee program eligibility, specific outcomes, or access to particular resources. Eligibility decisions and service offerings may depend on funding, capacity, and applicable program criteria.

6

Communications & Messaging

When you complete a contact or service request form, or choose to share your Health Compass results, you may receive follow-up communications from IAF by email, phone, or SMS/MMS as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time using the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of certain messages may affect our ability to coordinate services with you, but will not limit your access to emergency care.

Message and data rates may apply for SMS/MMS messages. See the SMS/MMS Messaging Policy section of our Privacy Policy for details.

7

Intellectual Property

The content, design, logos, graphics, and Health Compass materials on this website are owned by International Ally Federation or used with permission. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may use the website and Health Compass solely for your personal, non-commercial use and in connection with IAF programs. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent, except as allowed by law (for example, downloading your own assessment results for personal use).

Third-Party Services & Links

Our website may use or link to third-party tools and services, such as email providers, analytics, and community resources. These third parties are responsible for their own privacy and security practices.

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit.

9

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • The Health Compass assessment or any content will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
  • The Services will be available at all times or free from interruptions or technical issues.
  • Any particular outcome, eligibility, or access to services will result from using the Services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

10

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, International Ally Federation and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Services will not exceed the amount, if any, that you have paid directly to IAF for the specific program or service at issue. Many of our services are provided at no cost to participants; in those cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

11

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or organizational practices.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (for example, by posting a banner on our website). Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
